I honestly think HOME FRONT is the most emotional book I’ve ever written. Jolene was an amazing character to write. A heroine in every sense of the word. It’s a book that explores big emotions and big themes: love, honor, duty, commitment, marriage, and sacrifice. It took a lot of research to do the military angle of the book, and it was a fascinating glimpse into that world.
